A Busy Year

These are my journals I have been creating in for the last year since 2015.  I will be posting more pictures of what’s inside on the blog.

Wow! It’s hard to believe I am creating a blog. I enjoy sharing my art with fellow admirers and hope you enjoy the journey with me I am embarking upon.  Thanks for visiting and happy creating!

Some of my earliest memories are of holding a crayon.  I once asked my mother about my early childhood creativity and she said, “I would find you in the morning sitting on the floor of your bedroom with paper and coloring.  You were always coloring something.”  I guess my creative process started young!  However, it has not been until recently in 2015 that a creative spark was ignited again and I began to come into my own, artistic self.  Since then I have ventured into the world of mixed media, art journaling, paper crafting and lettering and I have no plans of stopping anytime soon! I have a love for art supplies {actually an art supplies geek} and enjoy watercolors, acrylic, colored pencils, pen and ink and pastels. Oh, and I am learning about bullet journaling and enjoy using my planner.  I also sew and knit so you may see references to those crafts here as well.  I created this blog to share my adventures with you and hope your creative spark is kindled in some way whatever your chosen craft.

Encouraging the artistic process.

Let’s create more and just be.  These simple words have inspired my creative process and coming into my own, artistic self.  My hope is to spark the creative process and the path of self expression within you!  I enjoy creating art and look forward to sharing my mixed media adventures with you.  You’ll find experiments with watercolor, acrylic, pen and ink, colored pencils and pastels to name a few here.
